Hubbard Townhouse Garden, One Tree Hill 2008
Our mother recently moved into a retirement home so her townhouse needed to be put on the market. Once the interior of the townhouse had been updated we realised how tired and old fashioned the garden looked.
Caroline was able to immediately see what was needed to update the garden in keeping with the architecture of the house and within a short space of time put together a plan for the transformation of the old garden.
The design was very cost effective and included a contemporary layout keeping trees and plants that could still enhance the garden with the addition of new vibrant plants, a new ready lawn and larger patio for outdoor entertaining.
Caroline was sympathetic to the need to keep the budget low while still having the garden give the maximum impact for the sale of the property. We were able to leave Caroline to organise contractors and provide a team of gardeners to clear and plant the new garden giving us time to concentrate on other jobs that needed doing before the real estate agents took over.
The wonderful new garden was the final finishing touch to the up date of the property. This is the second garden project that Caroline has managed for us. In each case the projects have been completed within budget and the results have far exceeded our expectations.

We briefed Caroline Wesseling to design a garden against our client's specific objective for this year's Ellerslie Flower Show. The standard of her presentation was outstanding, her design and support material clearly showed her thinking and interpretation of our brief. After completing our new home, we approached Caroline – on recommendation from our architect Bart Meo – to prepare plans for layout and plant selection for the new garden. We discussed a very simple plan that complimented our modern home beautifully and fitted well with our lifestyle (and grandchildren). Caroline was able to interpret our ideas and recommend alternatives. We are extremely happy with the finished result.

Wow, what a difference, we are delighted with our new garden. We had visited a friend’s garden that Caroline had designed and were so impressed that we asked her to design our new garden. Caroline came to our house, took pictures walked around and took the time to listen to what we wanted. She then presented us with a plan that looked great. It had pictures of the plants along with a plan of where they all went.
She then organised everything from ordering the plants, to soil preparation and then on to planting everything. We are so pleased with the end result. Caroline is very approachable and professional and the whole process went along effortlessly on our part.
We love our new garden and are looking forward to enjoying it over the summer.

Following the purchase of our current home in Hollywood Ave, Epsom, we approached Caroline Wesseling to produce a plan for a complete new garden and patio design for the rear of the property. We were not satisfied with the way the garden had been designed by the builder.
That plan called for a complex water feature and new paving concepts in addition to the garden design itself.
Caroline produced a design very quickly, and completed the garden construction promptly, which she also arranged with a third party contractor.
The finished design is exactly what we envisaged from the plan; - it was completed on time and on budget.
